CATERINA DI PIETRO
SCIENTIFIC ILLUSTRATIONS

ABOUT ME
I am Caterina Di Pietro, a scientific illustrator with 15 years of biomedical laboratory research experience. Multidisciplinary background in cell/molecular biology, immunology and microbiology has given me the tools to independently explore creative solutions to communicate science in these fields. I expertise in translating complex ideas into visually appealing original biomedical graphics, by amalgamating science and art. Having published my own research articles in peer reviews journals, I understand the publication requirements for figures and graphical abstracts, as well as how to make them clearer and more communicative.
With the increasing amount of scientific research being published every day, visual communication has become critical part. Clear and eye-catching pictorial images helps a scientist to enhance the comprehensiveness of their sophisticated data but also to boost their impact and stand out from the crowd in the scientific community.
